This place was amazing. We are in Savannah for a wedding and got good vibes from this place with good recommendations. We decided to do a walk-in. Don't be intimidated if there are no reservations, they get people seated relatively quickly, even without reservations. The waitress was incredibly attentive and explained the specials well. We had the fried green tomatoes that were fantastic, with excellent goat cheese, crispy, fried tomatoes, sitting on a bed. Absolutely fantastic southern food. I decided to have the special mushroom risotto with scallops. I actually think the risotto was better than the scallops even though both were one of the best meals I've had all year. My wife had the, salmon couldn't be as good as mine, but it was just as good if not better with a buttery lemon taste and perfectly cooked. We then had the chocolate mousse dessert which looked like it came out of a bakery. Absolutely fantastic with a cup of decaf cappuccino. We met the chef who was very accommodating and Gracious. Would highly recommend.

We made reservations ahead online and when we arrived, the staff greeted us so warmly that, at one point, we wanted to just hang out in the bar area with them. The staff was amazing!!! We were exhausted after a long day touring Savannah's hot spots and were ready to chill for dinner. Our seating was nice as it overlooked the River. It was late in the evening but our view of the River Boat still played into the ambiance for us. This was the 1st dinner in which we both didn't order a cocktail... Strange right!!! We had the Crawfish Beignets & She Crab Soup to start. Both were good and then moved on to the Entrees. They delivered on the Short Ribs and the Fried Chicken. Food was solid and we were full, trying to figure out how to get back to the hotel without walking!!! Great evening.

Visited on a Friday early evening and it was so chill and just the type of vibe I was looking for. Great service and decor. Looks like it would be really cute for a date night with your partner or friend! Only tried the one cocktail pictured but would love to come back and try the food. Also check out the Vic's stamp in the ice cube

9-16-24 Reservation Open Table 7pm Made reservations well In advance for my birthday dinner with hubby. Since it had so many Yelp reviews this place was on my radar to try out. Being unfamiliar with the area was surprised to see it located where all the shops are on River Street. We parked nearby but the meters were limited to two hours. As we approached we went to the other Vic's restaurant first, as did another couple who were ahead of us. We were directed to walk a couple more doors down and to take the elevator as we make our way through a coffee shop on the first floor. Once we got to the 4th floor we were greeted and brought to our table. Well I don't know if it was because we reserved or that it was my birthday but we got the best table in the place with a great view of the water. Also the table accommodated four even though we are two I relish the additional space. I looked over at the tables for two and I couldn't do it. Hubby had a Hendricks and tonic and I had champagne by the glass a Brut Rose. I never heard of the label but it was delicious and I had two glasses. We shared an order of Oysters Rockefeller as a starter. For my main course I had the Seared Scallops served on risotto minus the truffle oil. Hubby had the BBQ meatloaf. The portions are large so yes we took the leftovers home. I could only finish three of the four scallops. They were ginormous. My cats enjoyed sharing the last one when I got home. For dessert they brought me a celebratory piece of chocolate flourless gluten free cake. It was delicious and so thoughtful of them. Special shout out to our server Sean he was a 10. He was even kind enough to take our photo on the small balcony. Randall came over towards the end of the meal and assisted him. The service truly was the cherry on top of a perfect evening.

Went down to the Savannah River and found this restaurant. Well we passed it and I said I wanted to go back because the food looked amazing. The service was outstanding and very professional. The atmosphere was pleasant not loud but comfortable enough to enjoy your meal and have a good conversation. The bathroom was very clean.

Everything was excellent! First, the mini-biscuits and honey butter might have been the best biscuits I've ever had. We also had a crab cake and fried green tomorrows for appetizer; first time trying fried green tomatoes as they don't really have those back home, but they were absolutely amazing. Crab cake also delicious. We split the pan-seared halibut special over risotto and it was really, really good. So many places to choose from in the area and this is a great one!

This terrific restaurant on the Savannah riverfront is a great spot to escape the throng of tourists on River Street, dive into a delicious entree and cocktail, and feel civilized again. The charming setting is elegant but warm, and and the views from the third-floor dining room are hard to beat. The menu covers everything from salads and sandwiches to chops and seafood, so every member of the family can find something they'll enjoy. During a recent lunch visit, I dove into a rich and flavorful dish of Blackened Shrimp Pasta, paired with a tasty craft beer from their impressive selection of local and regional taps. Service was outstanding throughout our visit, and the prices for both food and drinks were surprisingly reasonable. The restaurant is accessible through entrances on both River Street (go through the coffee bar and take the elevator up) or on Bay Street. Definitely recommended.

We had a fantastic dinner at Vic's on the River last night. My friend and I split an entree and appetizer and the kitchen split them for us in separate plates. There was a good piano player. Views were fantastic! We walked down the stairs to enter from River Street and then had to take the elevator - if you enter from Bay/Factor's Walk you walk directly into the dining room, save yourself some steps!
